Registration Information


Complete the registration form and return it to the Community Ed Office (7111 Aurora Ave, Urbandale, IA 50322) OR Register online by visiting and clicking “Online Registration” at the top of the page.


Participation in the Urbandale Community Education is voluntary. At the discretion of the Urbandale Community School District, participants may be removed from a program at any time for failing to follow district policies, rules or procedures.


Please let us know in advance if you need any special accommodations.  The needed accommodation can be listed during the registration process under special accomodations on each individual registration.


Urbandale Community School District students qualifying for free lunch may receive a fee waiver for all Summer Camp Series or camps and clinics organized directly by the Community Education Department. Individuals receiving reduced lunch may receive 50% off the total cost of Summer Camp Series or camps and clinics organized directly by the Community Education Department. Financial assistance is currently not available for classes and is at the discretion of the outside company or independent contractor (instructor). 


Programs that fail to meet the minimum enrollment number may be cancelled a few days before they are set to begin.  In this instance, registrants will receive a refund or credit which can be applied for future offerings. Urbandale Community Education programs will be cancelled any time Urbandale Community Schools are closed due to inclement weather. Weather-related cancellations will be rescheduled, if possible.


  • Participants in programs cancelled due to low enrollment numbers shall receive a full refund or credit which can be applied to future classes.
  • Multi-session class refund requests must be submitted prior to the second meeting of the class.
  • Single session class refund requests must be submitted 7 days prior to the first meeting of the class.
  • In the case of participant-requested refunds, $5.00 administrative fee will be deducted from the original amount paid by the participant or the individual has the option of having the entire registration fee applied to a later registration.
  • Credit Card refunds will be processed back on the card used during registration.  Registrations paid by cash or check will be refund by check through the district business office.  All refund checks require board approval so a check will not be mailed out until approved at one of the upcoming board meetings. 
  • If the class, camp, clinic, tryout or league starts that the registration fee is non-refundable, there will be no refunds.


When a class, camp, or clinic is cancelled a refund request of your payment will be processed by the Community Education office within 48 hours (2 business day). The Community Education registration provider, PrestoSports, will typically issue a refund to your card within 7-10 business days, if not before, and the credit should appear on your account within that timeframe, unless that falls within a holiday, in which the refund could be delayed a few more days. 

Please keep in mind that although the refund has been initiated by the Community Education office, as outlined, your card issuer and PrestoSports has control over when the refunded amount may be applied as a credit to your card and if there are any fees that apply.


UCSD reserves the right to photograph classes for future marketing purposes. Individuals not wishing to be photographed may opt out of this on their registration form or by contacting the Community Education Department.
