The Multi-Cultural Community of Urbandale

2016 was a strong reminder that this country has a long journey ahead in overcoming racial biases and disparities.  That is not to say there hasn't been any progress, because there certainly has. However, it is clear that we must do better.  These issues, it seems, are hitting closer to home more frequently than ever.  We would like to take time on Martin Luther King Jr. Day to discuss these matters in our community.  We believe that is where it starts, in our community. We must take the time to listen, learn, and really get to know one another before real change can occur.
