Intro to Programming with Minecraft

Formerly known as Online Multiplayer Game Design is now Intro to Programming with Minecraft.  Coding with blocks (like scratch), this class teaches computer programming, including variables, control flow, if statements, loops and functions.  Students test their code in minecraft.  This class fits the coding experience into the game itself.  Parents are encouraged to participate.  This 10-week course navigates through the design of player and non-player characters, animation and board design.  No technical background is assumed or required.  Javascript coding will be taught along with CSS and HTML.  The game code will run on a free heroku server which is available to the public.  Open for all levels of technical experience, ages 8-16.  Instructor: Paul Richards
