Grandmasters of Chess

New and returning students invited!

Each Youth Enrichment League Chess class follows four basic components:

• Teach It!        Each class students are taught different chess concepts and coached to implement those concepts into their chess games.
• Practice It!     Students practice positions set by the coach to improve their understanding of the concept.
• Puzzle It!       Students are given chess puzzles (constructed by WIM Serafima Sokolovskaya) and work with coach guidance to solve them.
• Play It!          Each class ends with students playing 20-30 minutes of chess. Coaches often feature in-class tournaments during the session.

Class fee includes: ChessKid.com membership for the chess session (a $49 annual value).

FALL SESSION (EVENING): (HIGH SCHOOL) - Open to ALL Elementary Students

• DATES:  Mondays, November 4 - December 9, 2019
• TIME:  6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
• LOCATION:  Urbandale High School - Room 104 (7111 Aurora Ave)
• DEADLINE TO REGISTER:  October 28, 2019
• FEE: $83.00* ($88.00 after October 28)

*Register at least one week in advance of a camp start date and receive a $5.00 discount off your registration.  If you register online, the camp price listed will automatically reflect the $5.00 discount, if applicable. The price already reflects the $5.00 discount.  Mailed registrations must be postmarked at least one week prior to camp start date.
